If there’s one beauty brand that I’ve been loyal to since my early make-up days, it’s Chanel. Well, to be fair, you can’t go wrong with Chanel anything… but their beauty products have definitely remained consistently exceptional over the years. Last week, I had to make a Nordstrom trip to replenish part of my collection, and thought I’d share my recent Chanel beauty empties that I obviously love and swear by! I don’t know if it’s just me, but I have trouble throwing away empty bottles that are pretty. After I took my flatlay, my boyfriend had to ask me, “are these just empty bottles?!” Haha. I’m convinced that I’ll collect all my Chanel empties and make my own little art piece with them someday… not a terrible idea, right?

Growing up, I’ve always been a fan of Asian beauty products. I recently discovered Japanese brand, Dermarise, available at Tohomart. Dermarise has been developed & sold in Japan in high-end salons for more than 10 years, and is well-acclaimed by celebrities today. Lately, I’ve been loving their Cyclic Serum P.A. & Cyclic Cream c-PA. A quality serum and moisturizer are two staples my skin care routine cannot live without! Though I’ve tried many serums and moisturizers in my lifetime, these definitely stand at the top of my ‘favorites’ list.
Who’s excited for the pool parties, BBQ picnics, and other 4th of July festivities next week? I know I am! You guys know that I love dressing up for occasions like this, so I thought I’d pop in on the blog to share some fun outfit ideas for Independence Day, in case you’re still shopping around.

If you’ve been following along on my Instagram stories for the past month or so, you’ll have seen that we’ve been working hard on decorating our rustic-vintage guest bedroom (inspired by the Airbnb we stayed at in New York recently). We’ve been doing plenty of local thrifting to score unique finds, but ultimately, I think my Steamline Luggage completes the vintage vibe of the room. Who doesn’t love luggage that’s not only visually appealing, but also fun to take along on trips? David & I had our 4 year anniversary last week, but we’ll be celebrating later this month somewhere cooler to escape this desert heat. Cannot wait to travel in style with my new babies!

C. Joybell C. once said, “you’re never fully dressed without perfume.” A good one, that is. I’ve always resonated with this quote because I believe that the perfume a woman wears speaks volumes about her personality! Today, I wanted to share with you a spring/summer fragrance that I’ve been loving lately. It’s the flower of the future, better known as Mugler’s Alien Flora Futura. It’s a relatively new one that became available in April of this year. Personally, I’m an avid lover of perfumes with floral notes, but I also appreciate ones with just the right amount of zest. Alien Flora Futura is just that and more — and I’m so excited to get into the details!
Beach days, picnics, tropical getaways… wherever you’re headed this summer, straw bags are classic staples in every fashionista’s closet — especially for the warmer months upon us. They add plenty of personality and fun flair to even the simplest looks. Recently, I bought two new straw bags (girl’s gotta treat herself after all the stress with moving)! Specifically, I got one in a tote style which you may have seen in my last blog post, and a slouchy one that can be worn as a shoulder bag or a backpack depending on the occasion! For this look, I’m wearing it as a shoulder bag 🙂
Happy Memorial Day Weekend, babes! My apologies for being absent on the blog – we have been super swamped moving into our new house this month. Hopefully we will get back on our usual groove soon! In the mean time, I wanted to share this cute linen dress I found at Marshalls recently. It’s perfect for this weekend’s festivities and beyond, especially in the summer!

With the temperatures consistently exceeding 100 degrees, it’s no doubt that summer has arrived in the desert. In efforts to stay cool and comfortable in the sweltering heat, I’ve been wearing dresses and flowy silhouettes more than ever. Transitioning into warm weather attire also means accessorizing more to complete my look. I typically prefer to keep it light with jewelry; afterall, less is more! Just the right amount of bling can really take the outfit notches up in elegance. Lately, I’ve been loving Swiss fine jeweler, Baenteli’s stunning jewels.
Packing light has always been a bit of a struggle for me, especially when headed somewhere cold. Winter clothing is much bulkier than the clothes I’m used to wearing out in the desert. This restricts me from bringing a whole lot. On my recent trip to New York City, my luggage was pretty stuffed with thick jackets & sweaters, so there wasn’t much room left for other accessories. In fact, I was only able to bring one bag. Can you guess what it was? A miniature backpack! It was my best travel companion (aside from David of course). Together, we explored the city and hiked in the suburbs.
Palazzo pants have been popping up everywhere, and for good reason! While I initially thought this trend would look absurd on me, I am surprisingly obsessed with it now. When styled properly, palazzo pants can be super flattering and extremely comfy. This is a huge bonus especially for a desert dweller like myself. The temperatures are consistently going into the hundreds these days, which means light and airy bottoms are a must.
Warm weather wedding season is upon us! I don’t know about you, but I always prefer going to weddings this time of year. The sun is shining & the flowers are blooming – what’s there not to love? Recently, several of you on Instagram have been asking me for some outfit inspo for some weddings coming up. So, I’ve decided to share some of my favorite darling dresses for the occasion today!
Just a little over a week ago, David and I had our first ever Airbnb experience together. For past travels, we’ve either just stayed at a hotel or crashed at a friend or family member’s house. We had such a great time, and expectations were more than met. At the last minute, we decided we wanted to go to NYC before the Palm Springs airport stopped doing direct flights to New York in the summer. Unfortunately, hotel prices were already going up. I didn’t want to settle for a mediocre or less-than-mediocre hotel, so I resorted to browsing through Airbnb listings. Best decision ever — since I was able to find the cutest little abode for our 4-night stay without breaking the bank!
