I can’t believe December is finally here! With Christmas (& 2019!) right around the corner, I wanted to share a fun sparkling holiday look I created with Clarins’ limited edition Shine & Shimmer collection. It includes a lip comfort oil in “09 red berry glam,” a gold mascara top coat, and an illuminating sculpting powder. This dazzling trio delivers the perfect dusting of glitter for your cheeks, eyes, and lips this holiday season!

12 Photo-Worthy Christmas Sweaters to Wear This Holiday

Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving spent with family & friends! Now that December is just a few days away, I’m sure many of us are starting to get in the Christmas spirit. Or, if you’re like me, your Christmas tree was put up a month ago. LOL! No shame over here – David and I don’t celebrate many holidays, so the ONE that we actually get excited about, we usually set up early every year so that we can fully enjoy it for more than just a month πŸ˜‰ Also, at the beginning of December we create our yearly family photo card to send out to loved ones. That got me shopping for festive Christmas sweaters to wear! If you are still looking to get one for your own holiday photos or a party coming up, check out some of my fun faves.

As I approach my 27th birthday (yikes – that’s too close to 30!) in just a couple weeks, I have been taking extra measures to maintain my eye health – both inside and out. As a working millennial constantly immersed in the digital world, it’s no doubt that my eyes are often strained by staring at the computer or phone for hours at a time. Since my high school years, my vision has only deteriorated… and the last thing I want is for it to get worse! Luckily, I recently discovered Ceramiracle’s FLOWERBERRY line, a solution made to fix tired and lackluster eyes.

A Recent Health Kick, Some Thoughts on Body Love & A Life Update!

Oh hello there! I promise I’m still alive – just took a little break from social media and the blog for a bit to recharge and focus on taking better care of myself the past month or so. As a content creator, it can be hard to not get caught up in work and not be on my phone 24/7. With that said, I really wanted to try putting my phone down and just live in the moment, something I hadn’t done in a long time. During my break, I checked Instagram minimally (this was hard at first but now that I’ve done it, I actually love not being glued to it), stressed about work less, worked on building face-to-face relationships, spent more quality time with my family, and got on a major health kick.

Moments of Sparkle with Lightbox: Pricing Explained

A while ago, I introduced a new brand and concept that I’m loving – Lightbox’s laboratory-grown diamonds. Remember how I was tempted to get another piece? Well, after getting a halo pendant necklace in blue, I really wanted one in pink too! This time, I got a 1/2 carat stone with the same silver setting. Occasionally, I like layering my necklaces. I felt that getting a smaller size would allow me to layer nicely with the first one I got! As I had mentioned before, Lightbox’s jewelry is light on the pocket, at just $800 per carat. Since jewelry pricing can be confusing, I wanted to take some time to explain how it works for Lightbox’s lab-grown diamonds!

I firmly believe in the saying, “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.” With that said, I normally don’t switch up my makeup products too often. Once I find something that works, I tend to stick with it. Every now and then though, I do enjoy trying new things – especially the ones that many people rave about. As a content creator, I’m blessed to have plenty of PR companies and beauty brands send me their latest & greatest to try out. It has been a while since I’ve written about my makeup routine, so I wanted to pop in and share with you some of my current faves!

Lightbox | Lab-Grown Diamonds for Every Occasion

I’ve always been one to keep it pretty simple when it comes to jewelry. Recently, I discovered Lightbox, an online retailer offering laboratory-grown diamonds that are just as sparkly and pretty as natural diamonds. In fact, they even share the same physical, optical, and chemical properties! I was intrigued by what Lightbox has to offer, and got myself a gorgeous halo 3/4 carat blue pendant necklace. It pairs beautifully with literally anything I choose to wear for the day. There is nothing quite like putting on my outfit and having my jewelry match effortlessly, every time.

Last week, temperatures finally dropped below 100 degrees and we were confronted with a desert storm! We rarely get cloudy days out here, so naturally, David and I were pretty excited about it. Don’t get me wrong – I am totally a sunshine kinda’ gal, but a change of scenery is refreshing every once in a while. Plus, clouds can really make photos look more dramatic and interesting! We decided to drive out to Salton Sea to watch the sunset and it was a very beautiful night. There was even some thunder & lightning.

Though far from the typical desert-chic style, I’ve always appreciated a good moto jacket. I picked up a stunning embroidered moto jacket by BLANK NYC at my local Marshalls recently and can’t get enough of it. The best part is, it was only $80 (retail $175)! The stud detailing adds a nice edgy touch, while the embroidery balances the look out with the perfect amount of femme florals and a splash of color. If you’re looking to invest in an embroidered moto jacket this fall, check out some of my favorites below!

The $8 Sleeveless Military Dress I Thrifted from Goodwill

On one of my weekly thrift store trips earlier this month, I scored this sleeveless military dress for just $8 at Goodwill in La Quinta. You might have seen my recent post about how much I love the olive color for fall. This dress is no exception, and the styling options are endless! Since it’s still pretty hot out, I haven’t quite pulled out my leggings to wear underneath just yet… but you can bet I will in a few months!

It’s so hard to believe that we just had our very last summer weekend of 2018! In less than a week, it will officially be fall… even though it feels far from that in Palm Springs. It is still well over 100 degrees during the day, but I’m thankful that we at least get cooler mornings and nights now. As I continue to transition my wardrobe for the new season, I’ve been adding a lot of olive green pieces. It’s such a staple color to wear during the cooler months! If you adore all things olive like me, you’ll LOVE my favorite picks in this shade for autumn πŸ™‚
