I know I promised a Cabo travel diary a month ago after I got back, but things got so hectic that I’m just now getting around to it! But better late than never, right? Honestly, we didn’t get to explore as much on this trip because David was here for work. I was out tanning by the pool all day 😉
We stayed at Riu Palace. Since it was an all-inclusive hotel, we spent a lot of our time there eating. I mean, who can say no to unlimited food all day everyday? The food wasn’t exceptional but was still satisfying; it’s like what you’d expect from a typical buffet. I particularly enjoyed their steak and mashed potatoes (I know, typical Mexican food… LOL!). For dessert, the fondue machine was my greatest weakness. Seriously, half my diet on this trip was white chocolate covered strawberries! David enjoyed the unlimited booze, while I sipped on my *virgin* fruit punch which we mistook as a sunrise mimosa at first because it looked exactly like one.
On David’s time off, we were able to grab some shots of our own, and it was a true delight to be so close to the beach one last time before officially settling into Palm Springs when we got back. Weather was great — not too hot and not too cold… but definitely warm enough to hang out in a bikini and get at least 2 shades darker in the course of the week. Thank goodness for tanning because I hadn’t really worked out consistently all year leading up to Cabo. Is it just me or does darker skin help make a person look more toned? I’m so convinced it does! Now that we’re back in Palm Springs, we joined a gym and I’m getting back in the groove of my fitness routine… and naturally tanning everyday under the harsh desert sun (LOL)!
Wearing: Bikini Top – H&M (several years old but I’m loving this ruffle wrap bikini top that would look great with strappy bikini bottoms), Bikini Bottom – Victoria’s Secret (sold out, but similar here)
Wearing: Pineapple One-Piece – Forever 21 (sold out, but similar style available here in pink; there is no print but I loooove the low plunge), Distressed Denim Shorts – Forever 21 (sold out but available in white and I have it too!)

Traveling can be quite stressful with 3 pets at home (they’re practically kids)! But now that we’re settled in, we’re hoping for another fun getaway soon. Maybe Italy, maybe Greece… I’m dying to check out Europe and Australia too. I definitely want to make it a mission to travel more before I turn 30. There are still so many places in the world I have yet to see!
What’s your next travel destination?
