My most recent thrifting trip to Angel View in Palm Desert on Highway 111, again, did not disappoint. I practically thrifted this entire outfit for under $25! The only thing not thrifted were the boots, which I’ve had for a while now. Can you believe it?! The thrifting scene is at least 10x better than the shopping scene out here in the Coachella Valley. I can’t believe it took me a year to get into it. I am so late – but better late than never, right?
This junior’s Indigo Rein linen romper was purchased in like-new condition, with no signs of wear. It was only $8! It is a size medium, so just a tad too big on my chest area. Luckily, it doesn’t look terrible. In fact, it actually fits perfectly around the waist all thanks to the cinch & tie design. I’ve been wearing this gem on repeat lately because it’s so easy to throw on, is cooling, and I don’t have to wear a bra with it!
I cannot wait to wear this Halogen shaggy cardigan originally from Nordstrom in the fall and winter months. It retailed for about $60 and I got it for $8. It is extremely soft and oh-so-cozy! I love that it’s not too long, so it doesn’t take away from the rest of the outfit. Even though it’s a size small, it definitely runs larger. The sleeves are way too long on me but I guess that’s what makes it extra cuddly.
Ever since I started thrifting clothing & accessories, I have greatly expanded my hat collection. This plum-colored vintage hat is one of my favorites – for only $6. It looks so unique and has been challenging to style but I just can’t stop looking at it. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if the hat went well with this look but because the color matched so perfectly with that of the cardigan, I just HAD to. So far, this Angel View location has had a lot of great vintage hats. I got another one by the same brand that I’ll be styling in an upcoming thrifted look, so stay tuned for that! As far as the actual brand name goes, I don’t know what it is but I just know they’re the same because they have identical stamps inside.
With fall creeping up on us, I’ll be wearing outfits like this more often. Believe it or not, I’m ready to put on my layers and explore the outdoors more. I just thrifted the softest crop sweater from another Angel View location and can’t wait to start wearing it. Unfortunately, it’s still way too hot for that right now 🙁 We’ve been cooped up at home a lot this summer thanks to the extreme heat and humidity. Trust me – not a comfortable combo!
What do you think of this thrifted outfit? Would you wear it as a summer-to-fall transitionary look?

Thanks Eileen! Haha with thrifting it’s all about timing and luck. I don’t always get something out of every thrift trip but when I do it feels so rewarding!
Just gorgeous! Love the color of the cardigan and it looks so cozy for fall. Beautiful outfit – can hardly believe everything was thrifted except your shoes!
Thank you Tammy! I’m obsessed with this plum color and was delighted to get a hat in the same color as the cardi haha. I will definitely be wearing this cozy cardigan more often in the fall! 🙂 Thanks for the love darling xo
The romper looks so cute and comfy! I haven’t been thrift shopping in awhile . . . I don’t have the patience to sift through everything to find the treasures haha.
Thank you Ann! Haha I was actually the same way before too, but then I found some cool finds and stayed motivated hahaha
WOW beautiful outfit and it looks amazing on you. I agree with you, they are perfect for both seasons 🙂
Thank you Lina! So glad you think so xoxo
WOW! I can’t believe you got the entire look for under $25 – what a steal. That cardigan looks so luxe and vintage hats are usually really costly otherwise! Talk about some lucky finds. I need to check out my local thrift shops now 🙂
I could hardly believe it too, Helen! You ought to go thrifting and see what gems you are able to find! 🙂
This outfits look so pretty on you. Thrift shopping is so better than regular shopping. I still can’t believe that you got this whole outfit in just $25. Great grab you got there. All the pics are amazing too.!!
Thank you so much beautiful! I totally have to agree with you – thrift shopping is much better! I’ve had so much great luck finding vintage and like-new pieces for a fraction of its retail cost. Plus, the shopping scene out here in Palm Springs isn’t the greatest anyway haha. I’m able to find brand name pieces at thrift stores that I wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere around here!
Thrifting is my new favorite thing to do especially in LA!

Haha those are everywhere – it’s all about finding the gems! I’m sure there are a few near you if you look around 🙂
There’s nothing like finding a good deal. I do this all the time with tech and when you get the deal it’s a natural high
I couldn’t agree more, Scott! So glad you’re able to score deals with tech all the time hahaha
I love me some good thrift store finds!!! Now I am a DIYer so the things we look for might be a tad different but in all honesty most of the clothes that I love are allll second hand. Thanks for sharing and your finds are beautiful
I love DIY projects myself! I also thrift a lot of home decor and other things that can be made into something cool so I totally know where you’re coming from 🙂 Thank you for the love, Sarah!!

Kileen

Someone told me they thrift when they visit expensive cities. That makes such good sense to me!
Haha! I think thrifting is fun in big cities too because they’re more populated and likely to have more things!

Thanks Kimberly! I’m so happy to hear that you’re a fan of thrifting too! Hope your week is going well 🙂 xx
These look so good! And for under $25?! The US really does know how to do thrift shops, let me tell you! There are good bargains in the UK too, but nothing quite AS good!
Haha I wish I got into thrifting earlier back when I lived in LA. I can only imagine how much better their thrift stores must be because it’s a way more populated city, and they have many more shops to explore. But I can’t complain – it’s pretty great out here in the desert too! I will have to check out the thrift shops in the UK the next time I visit!
These are all autumn/winter must haves I say. My favorite is the romper. Like I literally live for that.
Thanks! 🙂
