Winter Road Trip with EMU Australia

Posted on 2 m read

As a California-native, I really had no idea what “boots destroyed by the snow” meant. As I was doing my shopping in preparation for our winter road trip, Potter told me I’d need warm boots that I wouldn’t mind getting dirty and soaked because we’d be in the rain and snow a lot. I felt a bit stressed at this point because quite frankly, I did not own a pair of boots or any shoes, aside from my rain boots, that I didn’t mind getting ruined on this trip. What I did know was that cold, wet feet are the last things anyone wants on any freezing cold day. Eventually, I came across a brand called EMU Australia, a footwear brand that specialises in waterproof boots and thought it’d be worth giving it a try.

At first, I thought “waterproof” was some sort of marketing gimmick, and that the boots weren’t actually waterproof. To my surprise, I trekked through 3 feet of snow and even some rain with these indigoΒ Paterson Hi Waterproof Sheepskin Boots, and not once did my feet get soaked or cold!

These boots are truly waterproof, inside and out! Potter was so surprised at how well it resisted rain/snow because the boots still look good as new since the day I got them in the mail. These boots tend to run smaller and tighter, so I definitely recommend sizing up (which I’m so glad I did). I love wearing thick socks with these boots for that extra warmth. They are so comfortable to wear and walk in, especially in bad weather conditions. The best part is that they are classic winter boots, so you’ll always be walking in style.

If you’re looking for a pair of comfy, warm, versatile, and waterproof boots that actually keep your feet dry this winter, I definitely recommend looking into EMU’s full selection of sheepskin waterproof boots. You can also read more about them and their craft here.
