It’s finally getting cool enough to layer, and lately I’ve been seizing every opportunity to wear the newest jacket in my wardrobe — this olive green bomber jacket from Wet Seal. Something about bomber jackets are so chic and trendy. I love the effortless street-style vibes they give! When coupled with a light sweater underneath and comfy pants, I feel like I can tackle even the windiest days. Well, with my hair tied up, that is.
Those of you who have been following my blog or Instagram for a while now know that I pretty much NEVER tie up my hair. By default, I prefer pretty curls and relaxed hair. Last weekend, David and I took a short little day trip up to Solvang to meet my parents and celebrate my mom’s birthday. On our way back to LA, we decided to make a stop off the highway to grab a few shots. To my surprise, it was so windy; tying my hair up into an improvised and very messy bun was the only way to keep it all out of my face.
The succulent-embroidered sweater I’m wearing under the bomber is also from Wet Seal. I love wearing it on chillier days when it’s around 70 degrees Fahrenheit because it provides just enough warmth without being overbearing. Oh, and did I mention, it’s SUPER soft? I could seriously fall asleep in it.
To complete this effortless-chic and super comfortable look, I wore these black legging/pants. They fit like thicker leggings, but have pockets like jeans/pants would have. Honestly, it felt a bit weird to wear pants again because I am used to wearing skirts and dresses all summer long. At the same time, it felt refreshing to finally feel the change of seasons! Similar to the light sweater, I can literally live in these AG Jeans bottoms for days. For added texture to the overall outfit, I rolled up the bottoms for a capri-style look. Needless to say, the ride back to LA was easy breezy and ultra comfy!
