I’ve learned over the many years of blogging that curating an Instagram feed to reflect your personality and a certain theme takes a lot of meticulous work and dedication! Achieving consistency is another story, and something I’m still working on these days. While I have my ups and downs, I think I’ve finally found a style that speaks to me. Using certain phone applications have helped make planning and creating consistent content much easier. Since I get so many questions about photography and the tools I use to create my content, I’ll start by sharing which phone apps I use often!
This year, I started incorporating witch hazel into my everyday beauty routine. As a skincare fanatic constantly trying new products daily, I was astounded to learn that a guy friend of mine (who isn’t gay by the way) knew of this holy grail product that I had been living years without! Now, I can’t imagine getting through the day without using it. Honestly, I don’t even know how we got onto the topic, but we started talking about our skincare regimen and this casually came up in conversation. I am so glad it did!
I have always lived in a world of color when it comes to my wardrobe, and especially more so since moving to Palm Springs. Often times, people are afraid to wear colors out of their comfort zone because they think it might look odd. When styled the right way though, just about any color can look chic. If you’re looking to incorporate splashes of color in your outfits this spring and summer, here are some pointers to help you get started!
It’s hard to believe that I’ll be headed off to New York in just a few days! I’m excited to start traveling again but will definitely miss the warm weather in Palm Springs. As you might imagine, I don’t really have much in my closet that’ll allow me to survive in frigid temperatures. For the past month, I’ve been frantically shopping for an all-new wardrobe just for this trip. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much luck finding winter weather clothing because stores here have already moved on to their Spring collections. At this point, I figure worst comes to worst, I’ll pick up what I need when I get there… but the anxiety of not being fully prepared sucks. But hey, an excuse to go shopping in New York, right? 😉
It’s that time of year again – festival season is upon us! While I won’t be attending any this year, I know how essential it is to have a variety of sunglasses on hand. The blaring sun is no joke out in the desert, and even when it’s cloudy out, I feel the need to wear sunnies to protect my eyes. If you’re still putting your festival outfits together in time for Coachella or Stagecoach, don’t forget to add a few of these trendy spectacles for elevated style and of course, sun protection.
After graduating from UCSD, I moved around a lot. I stayed in San Diego for a bit where I met my now-partner, and then moved to LA to pursue modeling. Stuck around for two years, and went back and forth between my tiny room and David’s spacious condo in San Diego once we started dating. The third and final year in LA, David moved and we got our first apartment together. Fast forward to 2018… Facebook reminded me not long ago that it’s been one amazing year in good ol’ Palm Springs!
You may have noticed that I’ve been a bit MIA here on the blog in the past week or so. Today, I am excited to share that Style Lullaby has an all new look! While working hard behind the scenes to make this face lift come to life, David & I have also been diligently creating a lot of new content. I can hardly wait to share it with you!
Lip service please! Chapped lips is an issue I’ve dealt with for longer than I can remember. Just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse, moving to the desert unfortunately exacerbated the issue. With that said, I knew I had to quickly find products that would not only heal, but also hydrate my lips, and keep them healthy overall. If this sounds like a problem you deal with regularly, you’re in luck because I’ve done all the experimenting for you. Say hello to a pretty pout with my favorite lip treatments and simple lip care routine 🙂
This Sunday is National Dry Shampoo Day! Did you know that using dry shampoo has many great benefits? Not only does it save so much time, it also works wonders to keep hair looking and smelling fresh in between washes. While my mom always taught me to wash my hair everyday, I learned in recent years that over-washing can actually be detrimental. To be honest, I’ve always been a bit of a germaphobe in the sense where I wouldn’t feel comfortable getting into bed before a full shower. When I went blonde, my stylist suggested that I wash my hair only 2-3 times a week, and use dry shampoo in between washes to help maintain color among other things. To be honest, the thought gave me much anxiety (lol)!
In addition to playing dress up, I occasionally enjoy experimenting with new makeup trends and products. It’s been a while since I’ve done a creative makeup look and I am itching to try something different soon! While looking at inspiration for my next project, I wanted to share some of my favorite hot trends worth trying this Spring. Let’s get our creative juices flowing, shall we? 🙂

Let’s have a bit of bra talk today, shall we? I don’t know about my girlfriends out there, but I absolutely hate wearing bras when I don’t have to. This is why I typically prefer sporting loose tops and sweaters especially if I have a long day ahead. Personally, I don’t find wired bras comfortable at all. Instead, they are restrictive and don’t give much breathing room. Bralettes are much friendlier to my girls; I love that they are light and airy. But, they come with a down side — they usually don’t provide much shape or cleavage if I want to wear a tighter top. With that said, I’ve been on a hunt for the perfect everyday bra that doesn’t require me to sacrifice shape or comfort. After a long search, I finally discovered UNIQLO’s new wireless bras and have been in LOVE since!
