Even though I’ve been getting better at staying active, the desert scorch has greatly deterred me from going out hiking. I usually just go to the gym to get my daily exercise in. Recently though, I had the urge for something different. So, I decided to finally wake up early and brave the heat to check out the hiking trail close to our home, Rimrock Trail! Here in Palm Springs, if you want to hike in the summer, it’s best to be out the door by 6 AM at the latest. This way, you won’t have to worry about heat exhaustion… at least for the earlier part of your hike.
Wearing comfortable fitness attire is a must when it’s this hot out. You want something that’s breathable, yet allows for mobility… and if you’re like me, stylish! A cute workout set is always motivation to push harder, right? Honestly since moving here, I’ve been living in all sorts of activewear.
One of my newest sets comes from Ideology’s “Life on the Go” capsule, exclusively available at Macy’s. I’ve shared several of my favorite fitness outfits from the Ideology line here on the blog and on Instagram. So, if you’re a returning visitor, it’s no surprise that I absolutely LOVE this brand. Not only does Ideology offer a wonderful selection of activewear, it also has plenty of loungewear perfect for bumming around at home. To top it off, everything is reasonably priced. Comfortable, stylish, and doesn’t break the bank? Count me in!
This neon pink sports bra gives the perfect splash of color to every workout and I love the strappy back detail. The complementing leggings are surprisingly super comfortable to wear even in 90+ degree weather. They’re pretty lightweight and snug around my lower body. Needless to say, I can’t get over how flattering they are! For sizing reference, I’m wearing an XS for the sports bra, top, and bottom.
