I know I shared that one of my new year’s resolutions was to work out more, but I won’t lie — it’s been an extremely hard one to keep. I’d much rather just lay on the couch munching on veggie chips and shop online all day. In fact, the gloomy and rainy weather we’ve been having lately really isn’t helping! Because I don’t have a gym membership, I’d have to actually bring myself outside to exercise at a park… or I guess I could pull up some YouTube videos and work out from home. But we all know that that’s not happening 99% of the time.
Now that the new year hype has died down, I’ve been trying to find new ways to motivate myself to stay active. And yep, you guessed it — by that, I mean SHOPPING! I’ve been really into the athleisure trend lately. When I was given the chance to partner up with Ideology and Macy’s to style some of their fitness pieces, I immediately fell in love with this purple tank top/crop legging set.
Can we just take a moment to admire the gorgeous color? I’m a sucker for all things purple, but this shade is especially swoon-worthy. The tank top is supposed to have a more snug fit on the body but because of my smaller torso, I get more of a loose fit. In a way, I sort of like it because I can breathe in it better. On the other hand, the bottoms are extremely form-fitting and flattering. As a girl with super skinny legs and a nearly non-existent butt, these leggings are a godsend! They really help to bring out the very little bit I do have. When it comes to fitness attire, flattering is just the bonus. This set is also extremely lightweight and comfortable, and I love that it’s stylish enough to wear out to run errands and do other day-to-day things!

Whether it’s as simple as taking an afternoon walk with my pug S’mores, or squeezing a jog and a couple crunches into my busy schedule, this set just gets me so excited!
If you’re anything like me and need a little retail therapy to give you a workout pick-me-up, I’m sharing some other fitness pieces that are currently in my cart below 🙂
How do you stay motivated to work out?
