Spring Forward with These Chic Floral Dresses

_DSC9617_1600

After a seemingly endless winter, Spring has finally sprung! Here in the desert, we’ve been enjoying 80+ degree weather and I have been absolutely LOVING it. I hope it will stay like this for a little while longer before it gets scorching hot. It’s been so nice being able to take long outdoor walks with the dogs. David and I also want to squeeze in a few breezy bike rides in soon. While I’ve been living in workout clothes by default this year, I managed to pick up a few floral dresses recently that are oh-so-cute for the new season!

There are some awesome Desert X exhibits this year that will be around until April 21. If you’ll be in the Coachella Valley before then, I recommend checking them out! David and I dedicated a day last week to exploring and we saw a few in person. One of which is this giant pink mural called the Superplex, Dive-In in Palm Desert. I haven’t read into the history behind each exhibit but they are cool to drive by and see. Blogger mode in me thought this spot would be perfect for this floral dress + denim jacket look haha! I love the crop cut of this denim jacket – so flattering and elongating. And can we talk about the perfect shade of blue and edgy distressing on it? SWOON!

On a random note, can you believe this was my first official #OOTD post of the year? David got back surgery on the last day of January, so we took a little break for his recovery. Now, we are slowly getting back into the swing of things. In a way it worked out nicely because 1) we had a really long, brutal winter and I basically lived in sweats, and 2) the break allowed us to focus on our health and well-being. Though my work centers around social media, it’s truly incredible to see how much life has to offer outside of it! Regardless of what your work entails and how much you may enjoy (or not enjoy) it, it’s important to have a breather every once in a while. Our bodies need it!

Speaking of health & wellness… for those of you who may be wondering, I am still going strong with Kayla Itsines’ BBG 12-Week SWEAT Challenge! In fact, I’m halfway through Week 10 now, which is unbelievable to me. Where did the time go? I must say that I’m really proud of myself for sticking to this challenge because there have definitely been some tough hurdles. I’ll have to share another update soon!

Are you looking to add new dresses to your wardrobe this Spring? I’ve linked to a few of my favorites below for you to check out. To be totally honest with you guys… the platform I usually use to generate links to items I love, ShopStyle Collective has been super buggy lately and the widgets are not showing up on the blog. Major sad face! I’ve been trying to get this fixed with them, and as a result, have been putting off sharing posts with you guys. SO, in the meantime, I thought I’d share my current faves from Amazon. I literally shop on Amazon for everything haha. Enjoy! XX
