Spring Cleaning with Poshmark

***Special thanks to Poshmark for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.***

Annual Spring cleaning has begun at home and it feels so good to clear and organize everything. I like to start with my wardrobe because I tend to accumulate a ton of clothes that I forget even existed after a certain point. For years, I’ve been using Poshmark to downsize & update my wardrobe. If you’re looking to clear up some space while making some extra cash for items that are just sitting around in your (and even your significant other’s) closet, I definitely recommend giving Poshmark a try.

While it may seem intimidating at first, using Poshmark is super simple. I’ve actually both sold & purchased many items through this app and have had a great experience.

As far as selling goes, all you have to do is take pictures of the item(s) you’d like to sell, and essentially name a price you’d like for it. People can make offers and you can either accept, counteroffer, or reject them.

Unlike selling on eBay or an alternative platform, I love that I don’t have to worry about determining shipping costs as a seller. The buyer is responsible for paying the shipping fees, which is typically the standard $6.49 for expedited shipping via USPS. When an item sells, the seller gets an e-mail with a prepaid shipping label that can be printed out & placed on any shipping box with the item(s) inside… and off it goes to its new home!

On the other hand, if you love thrifting for vintage finds and shopping international brands that you wouldn’t normally find at your everyday mall, you may enjoy shopping on Poshmark. I’ve found some older styles that are no longer available in store for great prices, and in mint condition. Many people even sell pieces that are brand new! For purchases over $500, Poshmark offers free authentication for those buying expensive designer goods.

Spring cleaning made fun & easy with Poshmark!

The app is mostly geared towards fashion-forward shoppers, but you can also find high-end makeup, hair styling tools, nail polish, and other beauty products on there. I have personally sold some unused eyeshadow palettes, hair masks, and perfumes on there as well.

This season, I am rehoming plenty of cute Spring dresses (among other things if dresses aren’t your thing) that have either been worn a few times for special occasions, or even just once. Some of you following me on Instagram have asked me where certain dresses I am wearing are from. Lately, I’ve been really into Australian label dresses which are not easily available for purchase at local shopping centers in America.

This beautiful blue & white striped midi wrap dress is by Morrisday the Label, one of my favorite Aussie brands. I love the cinch tie around the waist because I can make the dress form-fitting while keeping it light and airy for warmer temperatures out here in the desert. While I’m normally size XS or even XXS, this dress in Small fits me just fine with the cinch!

Many of the styles on my Poshmark store are new with tags, new without tags, or in mint condition. I do have a few pre-loved items that I’ve worn more than a handful of times but are still in good condition as well. If you aren’t on Poshmark yet and would like to shop my closet, download the app on your phone (available on Android and iPhone) and find me @stylelullaby! You can also use my invite code STYLELULLABY to receive $5 Posh Credit towards your first purchase on the app. I’ll be adding more styles periodically within the next month, so be sure to check back if you don’t see an item you’ve been eyeing on my Instagram.

I am currently taking offers, so don’t be shy 🙂 Bundles with 2 or more items get 10% off!

If you guys are also on Poshmark, I would love to check out your closets. Shopping second-hand items is not only better for the environment, it can also be a lot of fun finding gems that are no longer available elsewhere — or better yet, vintage!

Where do you sell your pre-loved items?
