Living in Linen

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, babes! My apologies for being absent on the blog – we have been super swamped moving into our new house this month. Hopefully, we will get back in our usual groove soon! In the meantime, I wanted to share this cute linen dress I found at Marshalls recently. It’s perfect for this weekend’s festivities and beyond, especially in the summer!

Wearing linen is a chic way to stay cool in the heat without sacrificing style. I’ll definitely be adding more linen pieces to my wardrobe before the extreme temps really start to hit us! I’m particularly loving the nautical stripes for summer. This number can be effortlessly worn to the beach as a cover-up, a girls’ brunch, and even to an outdoor movie date. It’s extremely breathable and lightweight – I barely feel like I’m wearing anything! Since it’s loose, I can easily get away with a bralette underneath. I’m always all for clothing where bras are optional 😉 Just by tossing on a straw hat, beach bag, sunnies, and a comfortable pair of sandals, wedges, or heels — I’m ready to tackle a hot summer day!

I have been eyeing a few linen jumpsuits and mini dresses lately. When it’s warm out, the last thing I want to think about is what to wear. Less is more, really! If I’m able to quickly put on a dress or romper, I’ll just throw on some simple accessories and be out the door in a jiffy. 🙂 Shop my favorite linen staples below!

What are your thoughts on linen? Would you wear it this summer?

    1. Hehe thanks Miki! Linen is just the best this time of year especially where we live it gets so hot in the summer lol. Humidity over there for you probably doesn’t help!

  7. And you’re apologizing for that brief absence… as for myself I’ve been gone since… like forever, haha. Jokes aside, moving is tough and I’m glad you’re somewhat done with that and getting back to your usual groove. I’ve missed you and your blog ever so much, but am glad that I’m back on track following what’s happening in your life! I truly enjoy the linen and it must be a true fashion statement in the desert, when you basically cannot wear anything heavier than that.
