After three years of living in LA, I have some exciting news to share with you! It’s official — David and I will be relocating to Palm Springs next month shortly after we get back from Cabo! We couldn’t be more excited to start a new chapter in the desert after spending a lot of time there for the past few weeks. Even though we’ll be moving into our new home during the hottest time of the year, we are stoked for a change of scenery and a bigger space. Getting around without traffic, finding a shoot location right when we walk out the door… it’s going to be heavenly!
Speaking of heavenly, how heavenly is this gown?! Just in time for the new season, I have teamed up with Lord & Taylor to share an ethereal Spring look with you guys, featuring this beautiful number by BCBG Maxazria. I actually saw this one in white some time last season and fell in love with the unique design. There’s nothing that screams SPRING more than this dreamy pastel pink color. The way the dress moves with the wind is simply breathtaking. I am a sucker for all things strappy so needless to say, this silhouette is a must-have for me. Lord & Taylor offers so many different brands and carries a plethora of styles to suit every taste. Since I am a major dress hoarder, I have been stocking up on many for the warmer coming months.
Now back to this dress… if the photos haven’t spoken for themselves enough, it’s a very versatile one. I could totally see this being worn out to a fancy date night or even as a bridesmaid dress. Coupled with the right accessories and heels, it is a super elegant piece — in and out of the desert 😉 The fit is pretty comfortable, though I couldn’t get away with not wearing a bra with this one. For reference, I got this in a size 0 and I’m a true 32B. The chest area is a bit loose on me, but it’s nothing that a little push-up bra can’t fix. The length is perfect with my go-to pair of nude heels. Since the dress has such stunning detailing, I personally love wearing it with minimalistic jewelry. With that said, I’ve stuck with my classic gold pieces to allow the dress to really be the star of the show!
The Palm Springs sunset is something we still have to get used to. These were taken at around 4 pm just right by the entrance of the Aerial Tramway on our way home from downtown Palm Springs. Unlike here in LA, we’ve noticed that the sun goes down incredibly quickly because the high mountains cover the sun completely once it hits a certain point. This is my first shoot during the golden hour in Palm Springs, and you can see how drastically the lighting changed from photo to photo. Luckily, my man knows how to work the camera and we were still able to pull it off 🙂
