Now that Thanksgiving is over, I’m definitely starting to get the “December feels.” Is it just me, or does the end of the year always seem to go by so much quicker than the other months? November definitely flew by, and I can’t believe I’ll be turning 25 in 4 days. As my quarter century birthday creeps up on me, I’ve been revamping my closet to include more timeless styles. Since I work from home, I usually wear what I like to call “hobo clothes.” The few times I do get out of my hermit state, I enjoy wearing dressier attire. Lately, I’ve been really loving classy and luxe pieces.
Not long ago, I discovered a Parisian inspired clothing line called Maison Jules at Macy’s, and have been obsessed ever since. Not only are the styles super classy and chic, the sizing is on point for smaller framed gals like myself! I absolutely love that Maison Jules has the XXS size that actually fits like how it should. Never had I met a tweed jacket that fit me so perfectly! In addition to the tweed jacket, I got a rich burgundy blouse and a fun fringe skirt to complete the look. These three pieces totaled just a little over $100 USD, which is a steal if you ask me!
An elegant look like this one is not complete without classic pieces. These chunky heels by Jenni Kayne are one of my favorites because the heel isn’t too high, which allows for easy walking even through crowds during the holiday season. It is also a versatile wardrobe staple that can be worn with more casual clothing as well. As for jewelry, I am wearing a thin gold watch by Burberry, and a pink pearl necklace.
These photos were taken at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, close to where my brother lives. David and I drove out there to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. Since most places closed on Thanksgiving Day, we couldn’t turn down the opportunity to shoot at an empty mall. It was so nice seeing all the Christmas decorations up without all the holiday chaos!
What kind of styles are you coveting this holiday season?
