On one of my weekly thrift store trips earlier this month, I scored this sleeveless military dress for just $8 at Goodwill in La Quinta. You might have seen my recent post about how much I love the olive color for fall. This dress is no exception, and the styling options are endless! Since it’s still pretty hot out, I haven’t quite pulled out my leggings to wear underneath just yet… but you can bet I will in a few months!
My most recent thrifting trip to Angel View in Palm Desert on Highway 111, again, did not disappoint. I practically thrifted this entire outfit for under $25! The only thing not thrifted were the boots, which I’ve had for a while now. Can you believe it?! The thrifting scene is at least 10x better than the shopping scene out here in the Coachella Valley. I can’t believe it took me a year to get into it. I am so late – but better late than never, right?
After finding a plethora of awesome little knick-knacks for our home at local thrift stores, I felt inspired to peruse through the clothing racks one day! Buying second-hand clothing was never really my thing, but I quickly learned that you can score worthwhile and even vintage styles at great prices if you look carefully. Sometimes, they’re new too! As you know with thrifting, it’s all about timing and luck. Since I’m pretty new to this, my list of “best thrift stores to find cool clothes” is still in the making. Hopefully in a few months, I’ll be able to share a list of my favorites in the Coachella Valley for you guys to check out! In the mean time, I’ve started a new series called “Thrift Finds” under “Fashion” on here to document my thrift finds. I hope you’ll follow along & enjoy the thrill of the thrift with me 😉
Thrifting has become a favorite past-time for me and David the past couple of months. We are amazed at how fun and easy it is to style a living space with thrifted finds! I have been crushing on all things vintage lately, so we are always on the hunt for cool items that fit that bill when we shop at our local thrift stores. After moving into a house literally double the size of our last place, we started thrifting to fill bare walls and empty space quickly without breaking the bank. We moved from a 2 bed 2 bath (in our case, master bedroom and office) condo to a 3 bed 3 bath house… which means we actually have a guest room now!
