In addition to playing dress up, I occasionally enjoy experimenting with new makeup trends and products. It’s been a while since I’ve done a creative makeup look and I am itching to try something different soon! While looking at inspiration for my next project, I wanted to share some of my favorite hot trends worth trying this Spring. Let’s get our creative juices flowing, shall we? 🙂
The wet eye look has been something that I’ve been dying to try for a while, and it’s also been a highly requested look by many on Instagram. Promise I’ll try to get to it soon! It’s pretty amazing how just a bit of gloss can add such a dramatic touch to any look. It is also surprisingly so easy to do! If you’re looking to keep it simple, all you really need is a pretty eyeshadow color of your choice and a balm to top it off.
POP OF PASTEL
While I’ve tried my hands on a fair share of funky colors, I actually have not toyed around with pastels yet. If you’ve been itching to try this trend, there’s no better time than Spring to jump on the bandwagon. Also, calling all unicorns — I’m taking suggestions for some of your favorite pastel eyeshadows if you have any!
Not a fan of wearing too much makeup? Add a touch of glitter around the eyes/or cheeks for a fun, yet natural look this Spring. I am a sucker for all things glitter and find it to be beautiful on the face with or without other makeup.
They don’t say “when it doubt, just wing it!” for no reason! The classic wing has been around for a while and is here to stay. I find myself resorting to this trend whenever I’m not feeling all too creative and want a safe bet. It has never failed me!
Here’s another makeup trend loved by many over the years. For an easy change, swap out your neutral lippie for a bold one. To be honest, I personally don’t prefer bold lippies on myself just because I think I’ve gotten used to my neutral shades. I envy those who can pull off a red lip as flawlessly as Taylor Swift does. To switch things up this Spring, I’ll definitely be revisiting this trend and maybe giving other fun colors like peach and magenta a chance.
