***Special thanks to Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.***

With Spring break right around the corner, I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling up for a nice getaway, even if it’s just a quick staycation. I’m excited to announce that I’ve teamed up with American Express as an Ambassador for its Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card. If you’re a rewards junkie like me, you’ll love this Card — especially if you sign up now through April 5, 2017, because you can earn up to 35K Starpoints!

What is the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express?

The SPG Amex Credit Card allows you to rack up Starpoints that you can redeem for reward nights at hotels and resorts in the SPG Program, as well as complimentary premium Wi-Fi access. Additionally, the Card doesn’t incur any foreign exchange fees, allowing Card Members to truly enjoy worry-free international travel.

How Does It Work?

New card members who sign up now and until April 5, 2017, can earn up to 35,000 bonus Starpoints when they meet the minimum purchase requirements:

– Earn 25,000 bonus Starpoints after using your new card to make $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months.

– Earn an additional 10,000 bonus Starpoints after making an additional $2,000 in purchases within the first 6 months.

Learn more about the offer here!

Once you get the card, you can redeem Starpoints for reward nights starting at 2,000 points a night at one of 1,300 participating SPG hotels & resorts in over 100 countries.

Where Can I Use It?

There are a plethora of participating hotels in the SPG program. Whether you enjoy traveling locally or venturing off to new places, this card will come in handy. Some of my favorite locations that are part of the program include Westin Hotels & Resorts, Le MΓ©ridien, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, and one of my go-to hotels in Hollywood — The W.

How I’m Playing Tourist With My SPG Amex Card

This past weekend, David and I decided it’d be fun to play tourist in our city. We started our adventure at the W Hollywood. This is one of my favorite places to “escape” to because it’s in a central spot. And did I mention that their lobby is totally Insta-worthy?! For those new to the Hollywood area, there are plenty of fun things to see and do in the vicinity. Of course, there’s the infamous Hollywood Boulevard where all the hustle and bustle happens. If you’re up for a 15-minute drive, the Griffith Observatory is worth checking out. This iconic locale features a gorgeous overlook of Los Angeles.

Planning on traveling more in the warmer months coming up? Learn more about the benefits the SPG Amex Credit Card has to offer and apply for the cardΒ here. Terms & conditions apply.

Where in the world are you dying to visit?

  6. First off, I love your photos! That spot is totally instagrammable. Tom and I were just in that area 2 weekends ago watching a magic show at the huge Pantages(?) theatre. I have been a Starwoods Preferred Member for I think around 14 years. This point system sounds amazing.
