Sweaters to Adore This Valentine’s Day

_DSC0257 2-2

Happy February (aka the month of love), everyone! Who’s ready for Valentine’s Day coming up? David and I usually don’t go too crazy on this occasion, but we’ll exchange cheesy Hallmark cards and enjoy a nice dinner together. We are both firm believers of sharing our love not just on one day but through the little (and big) things we do for each other everyday. That aside though, I’ll take any reason to get dressed up for an occasion like this… even if it means staying casual! I mean, it’s the one time it’s totally acceptable for me to splurge on some possibly obnoxious but fun heart adorned sweaters that I’ll only wear once.

It totally worked out in my favor this time that the shopping options are near non-existent in the desert. I only managed to get one Valentine’s Day-appropriate sweater that I liked. Sadly, I couldn’t find that hot pink heart sweater I had in mind. But it worked out because lately I’ve been digging the vintage rose trend. Plus, I could totally see myself wearing this casually on more occasions. It’s so soft that I could fall asleep in it too.

Side Note: While we were shooting this look, I couldn’t tell you how many times I got asked whether I found love yet (lol). Of course, my love was standing right next to me!

Still not sure what to wear to your date or Galentine’s brunch? You still have time to shop some cute sweaters appropriate for the occasion below!

  2. You’re sweater is too cute. My hubby and I also exchange cards and believe love should be shared all days. Hope you and David have a great Valentine’s Day.

  3. It makes me giggle that you kept being asked about your love life. Of course, if I were to bump into you, I’d know in an instant your photog was your boo 😉 This is such a cute look, girlfriend! Perfect for Valentine’s or Galentine’s day!

    1. Thanks Denise! We aren’t usually very cheesy but it’s definitely important to express our love for one another often, one way or another. 🙂 Thank you so much — I am glad you like this look! 🙂 Hope your week has been going well <3

  5. Awww Shar! I do the same with my bf LOL we lazy out and get each other cheesy handwritten cards 🙂 I’m kind of glad that you didn’t find that hot pink sweater for vday! I really like the roses for a more subtle, romantic look! Especially with the deep wine colors hehe 🙂 Secretly wondering if you’re sweating out there in that outfit LOL but you pull it off so flawlessly <3

    1. Thanks Jenn! You’re the sweetest! I was actually sweating that day, it was hot LOL. The sun was literally blaringgggg. And the worst part was, I actually didn’t bring another outfit to change into after shooting (had a full day of errands) so yeah, it was not exactly the most comfortable hehe. I’m glad that you and your bf also enjoy the same sentiment of exchanging cheesy handwritten cards. Something about handwritten notes and doodles feels so much more meaningful sometimes! 🙂

    1. Thanks Bernice! I wouldn’t be jealous! I actually prefer summer weather all year round. Luckily in Palm Springs it’s usually pretty warm year-round (I was dying from the heat in that sweater when we shot this look hahaha).

  6. I remember seeing this post in your instagram and completely loved the sweater! Its funny that you were not from that year but you are like whatever is cute will wear it!

    xoxo
