I was at Hobby Lobby doing some fabric shopping today and started to ponder the upcoming season and the style trends I’m looking forward to. Honestly, summer is my favorite season, so I’m not really looking forward to it ending. In fact, I’m DREADING it. But, seasons come and go, and there are definitely a lot of styles I enjoy wearing during the cooler months. Among the many, one of my most-loved is faux fur.
Most of you may know that I have a wild (and possibly peculiar) obsession with sheep. People always ask me why sheep are my favorite animals and the answer is quite simple. They’re so soft (and cute)! I also love how their wool looks when well-kept. In addition to furry jackets, I also have a ton of sherpa-textured blankets at home. For some reason, my eyes just get drawn to the woolly/furry textures. I had to fight the urge to buy these types of fabrics at the crafts store! That hasn’t stopped me from online shopping, though 😉 Here are just some of my faux fur favorites for the coming season…
Faux fur clothing and accessories are a great way to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to every outfit. I find this trend to be so timeless and perfect for fall and winter. It never gets THAT cold here in LA, so I rarely get a chance to wear faux fur coats without breaking a sweat unless it’s a windy day. So, to feed my faux fur obsession, I’ve stocked up on scarves! They are fantastic for adding some flair to a look. For example, I could be wearing just a regular long sleeve fitted top and jeans, and then throw on a scarf for that extra oomph. I have yet to own a faux fur bag but that’s next up on my list. I’m really loving this one from Moschino… a girl can dream, right?
