Who is excited for Valentine’s Day coming up? I’m normally not one to rave about Hallmark holidays, but I’ll take just about any reason to get dolled up! This year, I am wearing this fit and flare dress by Maison Jules from Macy’s.
Ever since I discovered this brand late last year, I have been madly in love with it. Maison Jules seriously has the best selection for smaller framed ladies! The best part is that the prices are always reasonable, without compromising on quality. I’ve worn this dress to some events already and have gotten a plethora of compliments on it. Many have even asked me what the designer is, as if it’s some high-end one that most people wouldn’t be able to afford. I’m pleased to say that this beauty is just under $100!
Can we take a moment to appreciate the intricate black lace detailing? I also adore how the dress flares out beautifully with a bit of wind. Paired with black heels and a classic handbag, it’s the perfect little number for a Galentine’s Day brunch or Valentine’s Day date.
On a side note, while these H&M heels totally complete the look, they aren’t exactly made for walking. My feet are usually pretty good with heels because I wear them so often, but this pair is definitely an exception. I got them a few years back because they are very versatile for many occasions, but have seldom worn them because they’re so painful to walk in. This is exactly why they say to always keep a comfy pair of flip flops in your trunk! You never know when you’ll need them. 😉
The weather has still been super bipolar in LA. With that said, I wanted a silhouette that would look gorgeous with any type of outerwear, ranging from a light cardigan to a wool trench coat. This one is just that — as it’s the perfect mix between formal and casual. This means I can easily dress it up or down with a variety of outerwear and shoe options.
Still looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day dress? There’s still a couple days left to get ready, and I’ve put together some of my top picks below. Happy shopping!
