Affordable Trendy Finds from the k/lab Collection at Kohl’s

***Special thanks to Kohl’s for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.***

Those of you who know me know I’m all about style on a budget. Nothing feels as good as picking up trendy pieces without breaking the bank! With that said, I have partnered up with Kohl’s to share some of my favorite pieces from their k/lab collection. This line is known for its trendy clothing at affordable prices. It’s not available in every Kohl’s store, so this brand is perfect for those who enjoy doing all their shopping online. New looks from k/lab hit the Kohl’s website weekly, allowing every fashionista to add to her wardrobe regularly without going broke 😉 This month, I scored a black and white print romper with a fun bow tie-front, and a timeless black wide leg peasant jumpsuit — both perfect for staying cool in the scorching desert heat. Both styles are equally appealing and so comfortable; I’m excited to share the looks with you!

LOOK #1: ROMPER WITH A BOW TIE-FRONT

This romper actually arrived in the mail in time for my trip to Cabo earlier this month. I was really happy about that because I was able to bring it with me and wear it as a cover-up over my swimwear. It’s also perfect for everyday wear in Palm Springs because truth be told… I like to let my girls be free (way too hot and uncomfortable for a bra). As weird as it may sound, this romper is the type that almost looks better without a bra! Rompers can be hard to style on a taller gal like me but this one was just perfect in length. I didn’t have to walk around feeling self-conscious about it being too short. Low-cut tie-front rompers are so in these days; I was glad to welcome this cute little number into my wardrobe for under $50!

Now that we are more settled into the new house, we were able to make our way out to this Desert X mirrored pillar installation! For a day out exploring, I styled this k/lab romper with comfortable platform heels and a small black purse, both also from Kohl’s.

LOOK #2: CLASSIC BLACK JUMPSUIT

For the longest time, I had been on an active search for the perfect black jumpsuit. When I saw this beauty on the k/lab section on the Kohl’s website, I instantly fell in love with it. Believe it or not, this is my first one ever! It was only around $50 and screams comfort on an all-new level. Not only is it super soft, it’s also really breathable for all-day wear. The exaggerated wide-leg makes it feel very editorial and high-fashion. The best part is, I don’t have to go overboard with accessories or bags to make this look complete. The tassel features add unique dimension to the jumpsuit, so I can just throw it on with comfortable shoes and be out the door! This black timeless piece is slimming and lengthening, all the while providing that airy feel in time for summer.

As you can tell in these photos, it was quite a windy day in Palm Springs. The wind storm was just getting to us and we had to get the shots quickly! Luckily, the wind and jumpsuit got along quite well, so we were able to capture some nice movement and character. On days I want to feel cool but not wear shorts, this jumpsuit is perfect because the leg part is so loose and airy!

Have you shopped the k/lab collection at Kohl’s recently? What are some of your favorite pieces?

  3. I need a jumpsuit for this summer. These are great looks. I am excited to go shopping for some new clothes.

  4. Beautiful outfits which suit you extremely well. The first one is just fabulous for dressy-casual around the beach (near to where I live) and the jumpsuit looks so elegant and comfortable! No wonder you were happy to recommend them, I also know of a couple of my friends that would love these as well.

    1. Thanks Nicole! You’re so lucky you live near the beach. I just moved to the desert so there’s plenty of pools but no beaches! lol

  5. I am all about finding stylish items at affordable prices. Kohls is a great destination to shop especially if you’re on a budget. I
love the items you chose and I would’ve never guessed it was from Kohls!

  6. Both outfits look terrific on you. I love the casual comfort of the first and the sophistication of the second outfit. Very nice.

  7. The last time in Kohl’s, it was a pleasant surprise to see these kinds of styles coming from the k/lab section. It’s different for Kohl’s and I’m not mad about it. They’re fun and flirty and contemporary and I love it. The romper truly sounds awesome, especially after you said how it fits well on your taller build. It’s such a struggle for me to find rompers that don’t turn into thongs because of my long torso and legs haha! And that jumpsuit is as classy and fun as it gets. You look runway ready, baby!!

    1. Omg they had a k/lab section in your local store?! So lucky! They don’t have one near me so I have to buy online haha. I do love their contemporary styles too!

  8. These are great options for my yearly Las vegas trip with my husband. They look comfortable and great for warmer weather.

    1. Thank you Maria! Been loving shooting out in the desert but unfortunately it’s getting unbearingly hot out!

  9. Love both looks. I still look for a jumpsuit for myself, But for small people like me with a little bit more on my hips, I haven´t found one which is made for me. whether the legs ar too long or they look weird when I wear it. Damn. The clothes look amazing and the pics, too. I´m glad that you are happy with them.

    1. Aww I know that feeling! I am super skinny and have a hard time finding the right clothes a lot of times too lol the struggle is real!

  10. Wow I really love that jumpsuit! I’ve been on the lookout for a classic black on for ages but I feel a bit iffy buying online because I think I have a rather long torso and the crutch of most jumpsuits and play suits always sit a little too high on me making things rather unflattering. Sigh.

    1. This jumpsuit is nice because it actually does have a longer torso area. I actually wish the leg part was a little longer but it’s great as is too!

  11. Looks a great collection and that outfit was so beautiful looks like I want to have this glad you share this with us.

  12. Omg! You look so good in both of these. The romper has such a great print, and you have legs for days! The choker is a gorgeous finishing touch. I’m a huge jumpsuit fan and can’t believe this is your first one. I love the leg detail, and it’s simple, yet so glam! I love wide leg over skinny. This is my favorite! It’s such a steal too. I need to borrow this from you. Lol

  13. I’ve never shopped there, but will check out if they have something for us guys too! I love both the romper (and am glad it arrived before your trip) as well as the classic black jumpsuit. The fact that it was a windy day adds dramatic features to the shoot and also makes the material come alive so I prefer a windy (but warm) shoot any day of the week. Thanks for introducing me to Kohl’s!
