10 Beauty Products on My Repurchase List

I don’t know about you, but once I find my go-to beauty products that work well for me, I don’t question them! Okay, maybe if there are special sales for similar products, I may give them a try… but otherwise, I pretty much stick with what I find works for me to stay on the safe side. With that said, here are 10 beauty products on my repurchase list! πŸ™‚

1.Β Maybelline Instant Pore Eraser

There are so many overpriced primers out there that surprisingly do not compare to this one, which can be purchased for just around $7 at Ulta! It’s insane! I love how this smooth this stuff makes my face. It actually smooths out fine lines and diminishes pores to create a flawless finish, as advertised. In addition to this affordable primer, I’m also a fan of theΒ e.l.f.Β ones, as the application and effect I get from using it are both sort of similar.

2. BECCA Cosmetics Ultimate Coverage Complexion Foundation

This has been my favourite foundation for a while now! It offers really great coverage, especially on bad skin days. On good skin days, it makes my face look even smoother! The only thing I am on the fence about is the fact that it’s not matte — I personally do not like dewy skin on me (and I get naturally dewy regardless of what kind of make-up I wear anyway), so I always have to find products that make my skin matte. This has been the only foundation I’ve used for the past year but I am still in search for a foundation with a matte finish that actually stays matte all day long.Β Any recommendations are welcome! πŸ˜‰

3. NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray

I swear by this matte finish spray! I don’t know what it is in there that makes my face matte since it spraysΒ out wet like water, but it works really well with my BECCA foundation to keep my skin under oil/dew control all-day long. I do have to touch up if it’s a long day, but for the most part, it does help to keep my skin under oil control.

4. NARS Laguna/Orgasm Blush/Bronzer Duo

I used to use the dupe version of this exact blush/bronzer set by e.l.f. because it is so much cheaper, but think the NARS one is worth the extra splurge. I’ve noticed that if I don’t invest in a quality blush/bronzer, it doesn’t apply as evenly. I’m still not entirely sure why, and used to think it was maybe because I wasn’t using a good enough brush, but changing the blush/bronzer seemed to help remedy the problem.

5. e.l.f. Eyebrow Kit

I’ve been using this eyebrow kit for years and have no complaints! The best part? It’s only $3! If I want lighter brows to match with my lighter hair in the summer, I go with the light powder, and in the winter when I want my eyebrows to pop, I use the darker gel side. The best part about this is that it lasts forever — I think one has lasted me a good 6+ months of nearly everyday use.

6. Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Perfume

I’ve definitely experimented with different perfumes, and this one has by far been my favorite! It’s a great scent for all-year wear and I never get enough of it πŸ™‚

7. Suave Dry Shampoo for Color-Treated Hair

This has been my holy grail ever since I went “bronde” and was told to not wash my hair everyday! At first, the thought grossed me out, but I quickly got comfortable. Now, I dread the days I actually have to full-on wash my hair in the shower! This dry shampoo keeps my hair looking fresh for a good 2-3 days without any oil build-up. Again, this product is very affordable for around $5 tops.

8.Β LORAC Pro Palette

Ever since a friend introduced this eyeshadow palette to me, I’ve never looked back! I love that it has the perfect colors for the everyday neutral or smokey eyes. If I could only choose one eyeshadow palette to use for the rest of my life, it’d be this one!

9. Chanel Hydra Beauty Creme Moisturizer

I have been using this moisturizer on rotate with extra virgin coconut oil since my college days. While it’s a bit on the pricey side, it’s totally worth the splurge. The moisturizer is extremely rich and has a very enticingΒ scent. My favorite part is that it doesn’t leave my skin oily or clog my pores after application. I just wish it had SPF for day use!

10. Rose Lip Balm

My lips are dry pretty much year-round, which totally sucks. Luckily, this lip balm has been pretty good atΒ keeping the peeling under control and allows for a nice application of lipstick or any lip color of my choice. I’ll usually put some on before I go to bed and in the morning before I apply any lip color. One of these can last me up to a year and a little bit goes a long way! I got mine from Bath & Body Works a while ago but now it looks like they sell it at Urban Outfitters. There is nothing more unattractive and painful than lipstick over chapped lips… so this one’s a must!

    1. Thank you for stopping by love! I highly recommend the baby skin primer — it’s super affordable so you won’t regret it πŸ˜‰ Thank you for your sweet words on my blog design! I’ve worked pretty hard on it so I really appreciate that πŸ™‚ xx

  2. Love these products! Thanks for sharing ☺️ I can’t live without my Rosebud Salve! I have one beside my bed and one in my purse. Would love to try some of the other products you suggested. Love your posts 😍

    1. Thanks for reading, Alyssa! I can’t live without the Rosebud salve in my purse! I keep one at home and one in my purse and even sometimes one in the car if I have a spare! So great to have handy πŸ™‚ xx

    1. Yes! Drug store make-up can be amazing haha the only two things I don’t get from drug store are foundation and eyeshadow currently but hey that might change πŸ˜‰ There are great things coming out regularly, it never ceases to impress me!

  3. Great reviews Sharon! I am a huge fan of e.l.f products too, I use their St. Lucca blush/bronzer duo lately and love it, almost identical to Nars Orgasm blush/bronzer duo! I need to try Becca foundation as I am searching for a good one currently, thanks for the recommendation. Your makeup is always flawless so I must try!

    1. Thanks, Jo! I’m so glad to hear you’re a fan of e.l.f. too! I actually know exactly what duo you’re talking about because I used to use that too until someone had me try the NARS one! Honestly I’m a little torn between the two because they both work so well… haha πŸ˜‰ The Becca foundation is great for sensitive skin and I love that it comes in so many different shades!

    1. Thanks, Maryam! It’s my favorite foundation yet… but I do wish they made a matte version. I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for one but I’m a huge fan of Becca!

  4. I just ran out of primer so your I read your post just in time! Usually I use Smashbox’s but I’ve been curious about trying a drugstore brand for awhile. I just wasn’t sure if it would work or not. After reading your review I am definitely going to give Maybelline’s a try! Thanks, lady!

    xo, Jo

    1. YES! The Maybelline one will do the job and is muuuuch more affordable. Highly recommend πŸ™‚ I also like the e.l.f. ones which go for a similar price as well. Both of these products are available for purchase at your local Target xx

    1. Thanks, Jessi! The duo is definitely perfect for traveling which you do plenty of, so I highly recommend it πŸ™‚ xx

  5. Fantastic picks! I definitely need to try that pore minimizer. Right now I’m using the Smashbox one but it’s a bit overpriced for what it is… if the Maybelline one will do just the job then I’m totally all for switching over and saving some $$$! Thanks for sharing, love!

    1. Thanks, Jasmin! I’ve tried the Smashbox one too and oddly don’t really notice a HUGE difference (other than the price) so I’ll definitely just be sticking with Maybelline. It’s a primer, not a foundation so as long as my pores and fine lines are under control I’m good!

    1. Yes! It’s amaaaaazing! I love how pigmented the colors are and the application is very easy and doesn’t flake like some eyeshadows. I believe it’s also cheaper than NAKED and some other palettes that are comparable. The Pro Palette is great for fall because of all its neutral shades that are great for smokey eyes too! πŸ™‚ I highly recommend it xx

  6. Hey Darling:) Sooo Amazing Photos:) In Love with all products anyway:) Thanks for the list

  7. I need to try that dry shampoo out! What’s on my list? Hmm, too much to actually mention here, it needs a post of its own, but I’d say I won’t leave home without my 8 hour cream πŸ™‚

  8. I love your list! I need something to minimize the size of my pores, but a pore eraser sounds awesome. I have some acne scars from when I transitioned to the US. THe pollution and dry climate really did a number on my skin and it’s just finally starting to heal. I have to try this out! That Becca cosmetic product sounds good, too! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Hahaha! Try the Maybelline one then for sure! I wouldn’t say it completely erases pores… but it does help quite a bit and works well if you have small pores to begin with. I know what you mean — man the weather lately has been so back and forth my skin has been breaking out too! >_<

  9. Thanks for this share babe! I always lovee seeing what other makeup recommendations other girls suggest. I never heard of the Maybelline pore eraser before and I’m currently using the Smashbox primer, but I’ll definitely check that one out! Also, I’m definitely intrigued to try out the Chanel moisturizer since it must feel luxurious. πŸ˜›

    1. Yes, the Maybelline one works pretty well for me so I highly recommend it! And yes, the Chanel moisturizer is pretty rich and “luxurious” as you might predict πŸ˜‰ haha

  10. I’m obsessed with the NYX Matte Finishing spray! Of all the finishing sprays I’ve tried in the past, this one seems to give me the best results. I”m curious to try the LORAC Pro Palette too. Thanks for sharing! πŸ™‚

  11. Love the layout of this post and I swear by the baby primer too! So good and so affordable! If you find a good matte foundation I’d love to hear about it!

    1. Omg! LOL! Well when you’re ready to update your make-up stash, this post is your go-to! πŸ˜‰ hahaha xx

  12. First off, I gotta say that I love how affordable almost all of these products are! I’m a huge fan of drugstore beauty products and finding dupes at a lesser price. Sometimes I’ll agree that a high-end product is worth the splurge (like the NARS Orgasm/Laguna duo – definitely agree with that one), but it’s fun finding dupes as well! Secondly, I’m now dying to try that dry shampoo for color-treated hair. Didn’t even know that existed, and I’ve always hated using regular dry shampoos on my red locks because it fades the color so quickly. Thanks for all the great recs!

    1. I REALLY love the Suave dry shampoo! It’s SO affordable and lasts quite a while. In fact, the one I got is from Target and with Cartwheel it was only like $2!!! So incredible and works really well. I love that it’s so convenient to use and it’s also better for the hair to not wash with water and soap everyday πŸ™‚ xx

    1. Hi Valeria! So sorry to hear that! I had no idea. Well, if you’re ever in the states, you’ll definitely be able to find these products easily πŸ™‚ Come visit soon! xx

  13. Really Great post!
I love the primers, is important to prepare the skin before the make-up.
I’m using too CHANEL TENDRE on the summer .
Dry shampoo is very practical when you need to be pretty. , because me like a swimmer I wash too every day my hair and its not really ideal for skinhead balance .Sometimes is really comfy to have it , especially when I have the rest day and don’t want to wash my hair .Sometimes I would like to leave to breath my head…;)
    Xx Eva
    Thanks for sharing us!

    1. So true about the primers! Lol I actually just ran out of my dry shampoo so my hair is getting sooo oily πŸ™ Time to go to Target soon to get a new spray haha! It’s amazing though!

  14. I love your mix of drug store products as well as “higher end” products. I have heard so many great things about elf products but I yet have to try to them. Do you have a favorite that you can recommend?

    1. Thanks, Sabrina! Glad you liked the list πŸ™‚ I don’t think I can pick a favorite since everything on this list is good for different things! They all serve their own purpose but I think if I had to pick only one it’d be the moisturizer because my skin’s been so dry lately!

  15. Love your recommended products! I need the Rose Lip Balm, Maybe we can shop around in Gilroy Outlet next Friday? XO

    1. Thank you for stopping by! Yes, you’d definitely love the Lorac Palette! It’s my fave eyeshadow palette for sure πŸ™‚

  16. These products pop out on the page, I love it, I really want to try the first one, the primer, it seems so good I hate pores haha πŸ™‚ xx

  17. I’m a makeup artist as well as a blogger and I have NEVER heard of the Maybelline Pore Eraser primer. I assume it’s the same as the Benefit Porefessional, which I think is overpriced = /. Guess I’m making a trip to Ulta tomorrow! I would definitely recommend trying the NYX Micro Brow Pencil for your brows. They are affordable compared to the other brow pencils and the definition is incredible.

    1. Actually, I only recently came across the pore eraser as I was shopping at Target maybe a couple months ago so I’m not surprised. It’s definitely worth the try for sure. As a make-up artist, do you have any recommendation on a good MATTE foundation… or something that does a good job keeping oily skin matte all day long? I need it! Haha. I’ll definitely be looking into the NYX brow pencil next time I’m at Ulta as my brow kit is hitting the pan!

    1. It’s incredible! I actually just ran out and the Target I went to was out of stock in it (must be a popular buy) so I had to resort to e.l.f. for now haha

  18. You asked so I’ll recommend…have you ever tried ITS powder foundations? I swear by them, even though I’m older. They are mat and they do not crease in fine lines and wrinkles. Plus, they cover even some major skin issues, such as rosasia. I do highly recommend that the foundation be applied with the ITS foundation brush, as their brushes are high quality and designed especially for their products. Maybe it’s me, but I just think they do a better job. The product lasts a long time and comes in many shades, one type with even a little illumination. As you can tell, I’m sold and only use this since first trying it from normal liquid foundations.

I will say that a good primer makes the look of the makeup look flawless. It sounds like you have one you like, but ITS primer is great too.πŸ˜‰

I hope this helps you in finding just the right foundation.

    1. I have not yet heard of that one but I will definitely have to look into it! Matte and doesn’t settle into lines? I am SOLD! Where is the best place to get this foundation would you recommend? Thanks for letting me in on this! xo

    1. Affordable but effective is the way I like to go! πŸ˜‰ Though I do like splurging every now and then, too πŸ™‚
